Lila Bull

Lila Bull's life was devoted to teaching the arts. Born in Ellisburg, she graduated from Union Academy of Belleville, Oswego State, and Syracuse University. For 37 years she taught art, retiring in 1970.

In her retirement she taught weaving, played the flute in local community orchestras and was somewhat of a local historical figure. Upon her death at age 92, Lila Bull's estate established a trust, one third of the income from which comes to the Community Foundation.

Lila Bull cared deeply for her community...You too can count on the Northern New York Community Foundation to turn caring into commitment. We make it easy to be a philanthropist now and for generations to come.

Please contact us for more information on how you can start a fund at the Foundation.
