Scholarship Awards
Jefferson and Lewis County students
are selected for the following programs:
Northern
New York Community Foundation Scholarships - awarded to students in the
liberal arts.
Herring
College Scholarships - awarded to students in engineering, sciences,
mathematics and related fields.
Visiting
Nurse Association Scholarships - awarded to students in nursing and health
related fields.
Special
Needs - one-year scholarships awarded to students
who have experienced personal or family hardships.
Designated
Scholarships - awarded to students in specific school districts:
Alexandria, Beaver
River, Belleville-Henderson,
General
Brown, Indian River, Lowville Academy, South Jefferson, Thousand Islands, Watertown;
and students
in the towns of Rutland, LeRay, Pamelia and the Village of
Black River.

Johnson Scholarships - one-year scholarships awarded to students
attending Clarkson University, Jefferson Community College, St.
Lawrence University, SUNY College of Technology at Canton or SUNY
Potsdam.
Margot Rhode
Nursing Scholarship - one-year scholarship awarded to a student
entering the field of nursing or pursuing an advanced nursing degree.
North Country
Human Resources Association Scholarship - one-year scholarship awarded to a
Jefferson or Lewis County student
pursuing a program in Human Resource Management, Business Management,
Business Administration, Employee Health and Safety, and Labor
Relations.
North
Pleasant Street, Watertown Scholarships - separate application
required*
one-year scholarships awarded to current residents of North Pleasant Street,
Watertown.

St. Lawrence County Scholarships -
separate application required
Students in the following school districts may apply for a
one-year freshman scholarship: Canton, Clifton-Fine,
Colton-Pierrepont, Edwards-Knox, Gouverneur, Hammond, Harrisville,
Hermon-DeKalb, Heuvelton, Lisbon, Morristown, Ogdensburg and Potsdam.

Rotary Purple
Heart Scholarships - separate application required
one-year scholarships awarded to recipients of the Purple Heart Award,
or their dependents (spouse or child). Applicants must be residents of
Jefferson, Lewis or St. Lawrence County.

10th Mountain Division (Light) Scholarships
- separate application required
one-year scholarships awarded to current and former 10th Mountain
division (Light) members and their families (spouse or child).
Applicants may reside anywhere and be in any year of full-time
undergraduate study (12 credits per semester).
